Yeah, so I realized that I hadn't posted a journal entry since my first one right after I signed up on dA...  Not much to say in words these days...  So it goes...       With that in mind, though, I've started brewing up one or two projects aimed at getting back to the old lexicon.  Few weeks, I hope I'll have something to post.  I'm picturing some kind of visually enhanced prose, maybe even poetry.  Also got a handful of t-shirt designs in mind.  Nothing too flashy, as I've yet to try my hand at any airbrushing or printing to speak of.  Look, I know it's a bit hipster-cliche, but run with me here.  I've always been the "hate being a walkin

Anyway, first entry.  I always liked wood as a medium.  Warm, natural, alive.  I remember my Dad carving these cool walking sticks whenever we went camping.  So, I found this perfect branch when I was clearing the space behind my standalone garage.  It might as well have had the words "walking stick" already carved right into it.  So, I wanted to make a cool pieceout of it for my Dad.  He's not been in the best of health, and has been a bit disillusioned, being unable to get out and fly-fish, unable to bond with nature as has been his solace in the past.  I had never seriously carved before, so I started prac
